Reading of His Will- Chapter 2 Author's Notes
This chapter was hard to write. Early August 2016, I was in the writing zone and felt optimistic that I would finish and post the whole story at the end of the month. But then we received the news that my paternal grandmother passed away. It wasn’t that much of a shock as we deep down knew her time was coming but it still was hard. We flew to Nebraska and had the funeral the day before my birthday. I wasn’t that upset because sometimes life just messes with you and my poor dad just lost the last of his childhood family, so my priorities were better focused. After the funeral and everything that happens afterwards, we drove to Norfolk where my maternal grandparents, an uncle and aunt and loads of cousins live. So I got to spend my birthday with most of my relatives and it’s been ages since that happened. That was nice fun. We fly home and barely 24 hours after our arrival, we got the news that one of my maternal uncles passed away from lung cancer!

Reading of His Will- Chapter 1 Author's Notes

The casino is named after George Zucco who played Moriarty in “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” (1939), and a Nazi in “Sherlock Holmes in Washington” (1943). To my mind, he is the definitive Moriarty! His Moriarty is everything I expect from Holmes’ greatest enemy. Brilliant, and diabolically twisted at the same time, but not in an obvious way like Andrew Scott’s Moriarty, though his take on the classic villain is good too. In one scene, Zucco calmly, yet with anger in his tone, explains to his butler that he was on trial for “merely” killing a man, but for damaging one of his prize flowers, he would gladly torture the butler to death. It may come off as “old film” hokey, but when George Zucco says the lines, you know he ain’t He delivers the right amount of shivers to your spine.
George Zucco specialized in playing vi

When the world and I were young
 Just yesterday
Life was such a simple game
 A child could play
It was easy then to tell right from wrong
Easy then to tell weak from strong
When a man should stand and fight
 Or just go along
But today there is no day or night
Today there is no dark or light

The Reading of His Will- Foreword

Sherlock” is the property of Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, and the BBC which in turn is based on the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I only own the plots of these stories and a few OCs.
In all my “Sherlock” stories, I have tried my absolute best to write as “British” as possible, but there will be times where my American will be showing. Sometimes because I just couldn’t find the British equivalent or had no idea there was a British equivalent. And in regards to clothing terminology, the metric system vs. United States customary units, etc. I had to use the American version on purpose as it was the only way to have things still make sense in my head as I wrote. The story has to be comprehensive to the writer first and the reader second.
I profusely apologize in advance for any confusion.

FanArtMashup: What is that?!
Equestria started like so many other days.
A beautifully sunny day that most of the inhabitants of Ponyville were taking advantage of.
Pinkie Pie skipping about the town, singing about friendship and cupcakes and happiness and sprinkles and puppies and frosting and niceness and you get the idea.
Fluttershy tending to her animal friends and planning to visit Discord for lunch.
Applejack helping her family with the farm chores.
Princess Twilight Sparkle and her son Spike the Dragon making their way to the park to have a family bonding picnic. Just good food and good books/comics to read.
Rarity having breakfast with her family.
And Wonderbolt extraordinaire, Rainbow "Danger" Dash is getting ready to do some of her most amazing stunts. They're going to be the awesomest stunts she's ever done since the last awesomest stunts! But first! She's heading to the Hayburger to get some munchies for her lunch break.
As she was flying over Ponyville, she checks her sa

Nehemiah Persoff and Edward G. Robinson have been rival gangsters for the last two decades.
Edward G. wants to retire on a high note by having Persoff’s Fabergé Egg collection stolen right before he was going to sell them to an important foreign collector (Patrick Troughton)
So, Edward G. gets Paul Newman to assemble a crew for the job.
Newman gets his right hand man and professional Fixer, Darren McGavin to help out.
Lesley Ann Warren is the crawl space expert.
Burgess Meredith is the gizmo tinkerer.
William Campbell is the snarky getaway driver
Steve Reeves is the muscle
Davy Jones is whatever’s left. He and Lesley lightly flirt with each other and he sings the theme song.
And Angela Lansbury is Persoff’s moll who helps the crew out for her own reasons.

Everytime Sherlock was too drugged out of his mind or was so exhausted from working on a case, his body simply shut down, the only conscious thing his Mind Palace could recall before complete blackness were hands. Every single time, just hands.
The first pair of hands were expensively manicured, elegant like they were made to play the piano, and never wore a wristwatch when an expensive pocket watch and/or an expensive cell phone would do. They had a hard, unrelenting grip as they got Sherlock to bed without brooking any resistance from him. They were always cold. No matter the time of year or the weather, the hands were cool to the touch and even colder in the emotions behind their actions.
No matter how much time has passed or how much things have changed between them, seemingly for the better, Sherlock will always hate those hands.
Second pair were strong, solid in

Turkey day.

And the day you're supposed to list what you're thankful for.

I have just one thing right now.

A few days ago, my mom had a bad fall and landed on her head! She said she was fine, but I was so scared I made her call dad to some home early and take her to the emergency clinic. They did an X-Ray and a CT scan and found out she's got a concussion. :( (Sad) But nothing worse than that.

So she's taking it easy on the couch for the next several days and sis and I are looking after her.

"The reason that clichés become clichés is that they are the hammers and screwdrivers in the toolbox of communication." - Sir Terry Pratchett

I could be slow in posting stories as I refuse to post anything until the story is 96% finished at least. And since I have several multi-chapter stories planned...

I live about 20 miles north of the Emerald City (WA)

Occupation: NinjaFencerDiscoDancer

It is my dream to become a screen writer some day. However, I suffer from the plot bunnies and ADD. It's not a good mix.

One of my life rules is: "If it entertained me, then it is NOT a bad movie."

The 80's have the best cartoons, tv shows, and songs!! I can go on for hours about all the awesome those ten years have given me.

I'm a Anglophile to the extreme! Pretty sure I own more British books than American. It's 50/50 with shows and music.

My sister says my inner masculine self is half the Viking from… and half Spock. She gets me SO well.

What MLP FIM, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and the Care Bears have been saying for years, never underestimate the power of FRIENDSHIP!!

Disney's 1991 "Beauty and the Beast" is my #1 most favorite movie EVER!

I am a huge emotional sappy sponge of a woman who is doomed to suffer THE FEELS and be part of the target audience for Harlequin novels, Beauty & Beast style, and redemption stories. But, at least I can look at myself in the mirror and say "I'm not a Twilight fan". I have SOME dignity!……

It's Time to Play the Music...
The MOPOP is having a Jim Henson exhibit and it's MIND-BLOWING AWESOME! Remarkably detailed of Jim Henson's career from "Sam & Friends", to his artistic works like "Time Piece", "Sesame Street", then "Muppet Show" which featured a wall that played EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. As you can see.
Then "Fraggle Rock", "Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth" which featured Jareth and Sarah's outfits during "As The World Falls Down" song number. So. AWESOME!La la la la

My sister and I have been devoted Henson fans since we were toddlers and since the exhibit was still going on her birthday, we totally had to go.

I also got to officially meet her boyfriend that day. He's nice.

Can you recognize any of the episodes/guests?

All the episodes displayed are property of Jim Henson's family, The Jim Henson Company, and Disney.
